Air Marshal Vibhas Pande Reviews Operational Readiness and Encourages Excellence at Base Repair Depot, Najafgarh

Air Marshal Vibhas Pande, the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Maintenance Command, accompanied by Mrs. Ruchira Pande, President of the Air Force Family Welfare Association Regional (AFFWA), undertook a visit to the Base Repair Depot located in Najafgarh from January 3rd to January 4th, 2024. Upon arrival, he was warmly received by Air Commodore Amit Agrawal, who serves as the Air Officer Commanding of the Base Repair Depot and is also the President of AFFWA.

During his visit, the AOC-in-C was given a comprehensive briefing on the varied operations conducted by the Depot. Subsequently, he meticulously reviewed the Depot’s operational, maintenance, and administrative readiness. Emphasizing the significance of well-trained personnel, the Air Marshal highlighted the essential role played by the proficient ‘Agniveervayu’ (Air Warriors) within Air Force units. He emphasized the shared responsibility among senior air warriors to mentor and further train these individuals.

Engaging with the Depot’s personnel, the Air Marshal encouraged them to keep abreast of the latest technological advancements. He stressed the importance of continuously improving their skills, maintaining expertise across all roles, and excelling in their duties with utmost dedication. Additionally, he urged all air warriors to prioritize physical fitness and mental agility, recognizing their pivotal role in ensuring operational preparedness and staying vigilant to confront any potential security challenges.
