Indian Navy’s Participation in Exercise Sea Dragon 24: Strengthening Anti-Submarine Warfare Capabilities

On January 8th, 2024, a significant development unfolded as the #P8 aircraft of the Indian Navy made its arrival at Guam, USA. The purpose? To partake in Exercise Sea Dragon 24 (#ExSeaDragon24), marking the fourth edition of this coordinated multinational Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) exercise involving Long Range Maritime Patrol Aircraft. Hosted by the US Navy, this exercise aims to enhance cooperative efforts among participating nations in countering underwater threats.

Scheduled to take place from January 10th to 22nd, 2024, #ExSeaDragon24 is poised to elevate the bar for ASW exercises by emphasizing coordinated anti-submarine warfare strategies among the involved countries. Over the years, the complexity and scale of these exercises have steadily evolved, now encompassing advanced ASW drills to effectively tackle modern-day challenges.
