The Coconut Development Board provided farmers with essential resources such as quality seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and other agricultural implements necessary for coconut cultivation. This initiative aimed to support farmers in adopting modern and sustainable farming practices, thereby increasing their yield and income.
The event also emphasized the importance of adopting technology in agriculture, with a particular focus on leveraging online platforms for market access, information dissemination, and financial transactions. Farmers were encouraged to embrace digital tools and platforms to enhance their connectivity with markets and access to vital agricultural information and resources.
The seminar cum distribution program not only provided valuable insights and resources to coconut farmers but also fostered a sense of community and collaboration among them. It served as a platform for farmers to interact, share experiences, and learn from each other, ultimately contributing to the overall growth and development of the coconut farming sector in the Purathur region.
