If you’re a fan of Chipotle and looking to save on your next meal, you’re in luck—but it’ll take more than just showing up at the counter. Chipotle has brought back its popular trivia game, Chipotle IQ, offering dedicated fans a chance to win big, including buy-one-get-one (BOGO) entrée deals and even free burritos for a year.
While other fast food chains are rolling out $1 menus and combo deals to attract inflation-weary customers, Chipotle is taking a different approach. The brand is challenging its most loyal customers to use their knowledge of the company in exchange for valuable rewards.
How Chipotle IQ Works
Starting from Tuesday, August 20, until Thursday, August 22, Chipotle Rewards members can participate in the Chipotle IQ trivia game. The game tests players on various aspects of the brand, including its real ingredients, culinary techniques, sustainability efforts, and more. Trivia questions come in multiple-choice, true or false, and write-in formats.
Participants who score a perfect 10 out of 10 will be rewarded with one of 5,000 BOGO codes released each hour during the promotion. These codes allow the winner to receive a free regular menu entrée, such as a burrito, burrito bowl, or quesadilla, with the purchase of another entrée at regular price. The BOGO codes must be used by August 29, 2024.
For those who ace the quiz, there’s an added bonus: a chance to answer an extra credit question. Correctly answering this question enters the player into a drawing to win free burritos for a year (one free burrito per week for 52 weeks). Chipotle is offering this prize to 50 lucky winners.
But even if you don’t get a perfect score, there’s still something to gain. Players who score 7 to 9 correct answers will earn 25 rewards points, with a daily limit of 400,000 bonus points available across all participants.
A Popular Game with Big Rewards
Chipotle’s chief brand officer, Chris Brandt, highlighted the success of the game in a recent statement: “With four million game plays since we introduced the concept, we believe there’s an appetite for competition and free burritos.” He even offered a hint for hopeful participants: “We use 48 avocados in every batch of our hand-mashed guac.”
This year, Chipotle is giving away 300,000 BOGO codes and 52 free burritos each to 50 winners, with a total prize value exceeding $1 million. For those who love Chipotle and are up for the challenge, this is a unique opportunity to indulge in their favorite meals at a fraction of the cost.
How to Play
To participate, visit www.chipotleiq.com between August 20 and August 22, and log in using the email associated with your Chipotle Rewards account. Players can take the quiz once per day, so there’s more than one chance to win.
While Chipotle’s trivia game isn’t the same as the value meals other fast food chains are offering, it’s a fun and engaging way for fans to score some tasty deals. So, if you’re a Chipotle enthusiast, put your knowledge to the test and you might just walk away with more than tomorrow’s lunch.
