The Coal Ministry’s robust initiatives shine with the successful auction of 91 coal mines and the launch of the 8th round, embracing 35 mines. Notably, the 9th round, offering 27 mines, is underway. Additional Secretary Mr. M. Nagaraju highlighted coal reforms, emphasizing investor-friendly processes.

Key features include reduced upfront amounts, NEFT/RTGS bid security, National Coal Index, and flexible coal utilization. The transparent auction process, led by SBI Capital Markets, underscores the Ministry’s commitment to progress, shaping a prosperous future for the coal industry.
