Empowering Farmers: World Soil Day Celebrations and Government Welfare Schemes

On the occasion of World Soil Day, an impactful initiative named Viksit Bharat Sanklap Yatra was undertaken to reach every individual and disseminate information about diverse government welfare schemes available to them. In Idukki district, Kerala, farmers received specialized training and crucial insights into Soil Testing, marking a significant step toward agricultural enhancement.

World Soil Day, commemorated on December 5, 2023, resonated nationwide with numerous programs organized across states and Union Territories. The participation of multitudes of farmers highlighted the importance of this day. Central to the celebrations was the awareness campaign emphasizing the critical role soil plays in agricultural productivity. Farmers were equipped with Soil Health Cards, providing essential information crucial for maintaining soil fertility and sustainability.
