In a dynamic confluence of industry and government collaboration, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Metal Scrap Trade Corporation Limited (MSTC) organized a seminal conference in New Delhi on the intersection of real estate and e-commerce. Sh. Nagendra Nath Sinha, Secretary of the Ministry of Steel, graced the occasion and shared insightful perspectives on transforming MSTC into an aggregator in the real estate domain, emphasizing the need to bestow identity upon every real estate asset in India.
During his address, Sh. Sinha highlighted the evolution of MSTC and its potential to reinvent itself by exploring the possibility of aggregating all stakeholders in the real estate sector. He stressed the importance of providing a distinct identity to every real estate asset across the country. “MSTC should consider integrating all aspects of real estate, from land surveyors to local intelligence of brokers, as well as appraisers and other relevant entities,” Sh. Sinha remarked. He underscored the need to leverage cutting-edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Blockchain to enhance MSTC’s operational efficiency and value proposition.
The inaugural session witnessed the launch of two innovative services by MSTC – the MSTC Webpage of Property e-Auctions and the Ticket Raising System. The Property e-Auctions webpage serves as a comprehensive platform for buyers and sellers to access all scheduled and upcoming auctions, facilitating a seamless marketplace and streamlining business processes. The Ticket Raising System allows customers to submit queries, ensuring a structured approach to address buyer-related concerns, showcasing MSTC’s commitment to customer service excellence.
Sh. Surinder Kumar Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director of MSTC, highlighted the corporation’s remarkable achievements in selling properties worth ₹4268 crore over the past three and a half years. He outlined MSTC’s successful foray into the B2C sector within the banking domain, urging partnerships with CII and the private sector to further propel MSTC’s strides in the real estate sector.
Sh. Harsh Vardhan Bansal, Chairman of CII Delhi Sub-Committee on Infrastructure, Real-Estate, and Urban Development, and Co-Founder of Unity Group, praised MSTC’s role in instilling fairness and transparency in its e-auction services. He emphasized the surging demand in residential units, office spaces, and retail leasing services, envisioning MSTC as a pivotal platform bridging buyers and sellers in the burgeoning real estate sector.
