In line with its vision and growth strategy, Ola plans to deploy 10,000 e-vehicles over the next two months, effectively claiming the title of the largest EV two-wheeler fleet in the country. Bakshi emphasized that electrification is the key to unlocking affordability in the mobility space, aligning with Ola’s commitment to driving affordable mobility through electrification.

The company has also taken steps to support its e-bike fleet by setting up 200 charging stations in both Bengaluru and Hyderabad. This infrastructure investment showcases Ola’s dedication to ensuring convenient and efficient charging solutions for its electric vehicles, contributing to the overall success of the e-bike taxi initiative.

Moreover, the e-bike taxi service is positioned as a multi-work opportunity for gig-economy workers on the Ola platform, paving the way for the future of commerce. Ola’s growth strategy extends beyond ride-hailing to encompass financial services, logistics, and e-commerce, showcasing the company’s commitment to becoming a comprehensive mobility and services platform.

With Ola Mobility Business turning EBITDA positive in FY23, the company is poised for further success in the burgeoning electric mobility market. As Ola plans to double down and scale up its e-bike services throughout India by the end of the year, the urban commuting landscape in the country is set for a revolutionary change, with Ola at the forefront of sustainable and affordable transportation solutions.
