Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is set to mark a historic moment on January 15, 2024, as he releases the first instalment to 1 lakh beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY – G) under the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN). This significant event, conducted via video conferencing at 12 noon, reflects the government’s commitment to inclusive development.
Launched on November 15, 2023, during Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, PM-JANMAN aims at the socio-economic upliftment of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs). With a substantial budget of approximately Rs 24,000 crore, PM-JANMAN focuses on 11 crucial interventions across 9 Ministries. The initiative is designed to enhance the living conditions of PVTGs by providing fundamental amenities such as secure housing, clean drinking water, sanitation, education, healthcare, electricity, connectivity, and sustainable livelihood opportunities. As the Prime Minister interacts with beneficiaries, this event underscores the government’s commitment to Antyodaya, empowering every individual at the grassroots level.
