On January 7th and 8th, 2024, these aspiring conservationists embarked on an enriching journey to Velavadar National Park and Sardar Patel Zoological Park, Ekta Nagar, respectively, to gain firsthand insights into wildlife and zoo management practices.
The trainees, eager to deepen their understanding of wildlife conservation and management, were accompanied by faculty members from the Wildlife Institute of India (#WII) and officers from the Gujarat Forest Department. This collaborative effort aimed to provide the trainees with a comprehensive learning experience, blending theoretical knowledge with practical exposure in the field.
The visit to Velavadar National Park on January 7th offered an invaluable opportunity for the officer trainees to immerse themselves in the intricacies of wildlife management.
